1. The Contract

  1. These Terms apply to any order ("Order") accepted by Laundry Lad through our website, SMS, or any other platform. By placing an Order, you agree to these Terms.

  2. These Terms may be updated periodically, and the current version will apply to each Order. We will notify you by email if there are any changes.

  3. Please read these Terms carefully before placing an Order.

2. Definitions

  1. In these Terms:

    • App: The Laundry Lad’s website and mobile applications.

    • Event Outside Our Control: Any event beyond our control, as outlined in Section 12, including the unavailability of key resources or Service Providers.

    • Item: Any garment or article collected from you in connection with an Order.

    • Order: Your request for Services via our online form.

    • Services: Laundry, ironing, and related services with collection and delivery to your specified address.

    • Service Providers: Third parties we work with to provide the Services.

    • Terms: These terms and conditions, which may be updated over time.

    • We/Our/Us: Laundry Lad.

  2. “Writing” includes email and notifications via the App.

3. Placing an Order

  1. Check all Order details before submission. If you make a mistake, contact us as soon as possible at 07721980890. We will confirm any updates by email.

  2. Submitting an Order does not create a contract. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your Order via email.

  3. An order number will be assigned to each Order; please use this in all communications.

4. Changes to Your Order

  1. You can make changes to an Order anytime before the collection time specified in our acceptance email by contacting Customer Service at 07721980890.

  2. We may also suggest changes to your Order as an alternative to cancellation, subject to your consent.

5. Cancelling or Rescheduling Your Order

  1. You may cancel your Order:

    • Any time before the scheduled collection date by contacting us.

    • After collection if we are affected by an Event Outside Our Control.

  2. Once an Item is collected, any rights of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations will be forfeited.

  3. If you need to reschedule within two hours of your initial collection or delivery window or outside our office hours (9am-6pm weekdays), additional fees may apply. Rescheduling is subject to availability.

6. Our Right to Cancel Your Order

  1. We may cancel your Order due to:

    • An Event Outside Our Control.

    • Your failure to make Items available for collection.

    • Items that are unsuitable for processing, lack labels, or are incompatible with our services.

  2. We will notify you of any cancellation. If work has started on your Order, no charge will be applied, and we will arrange redelivery.

7. Collection and Redelivery

  1. While we aim to collect and redeliver within specified time slots, delays may occur. We will inform you of any delay.

  2. If you are unavailable for redelivery, we will contact you to reschedule.

  3. If multiple redelivery attempts are required due to unavailability, a £5.00 fee per additional attempt may apply.

  4. Unclaimed Items after 30 days may be disposed of or donated.

  5. All collections and redeliveries must be acknowledged.

  6. You may request collection from or redelivery to a third party, or specify a location for delivery without acknowledgment, at your own risk.

  7. Ensure that we have reasonable access and parking for collections and deliveries.

8. Service Standards

  1. We provide Services with reasonable care in accordance with industry standards.

  2. We are not liable for delays due to incorrect information in your Order.

  3. Items with increased risk of damage (e.g., those with special cleaning requirements or damaged garments) are accepted at your risk if we agree to process them.

  4. Wash and Tumble Dry Orders:

    • Checking Items: Please check for any hazardous items in pockets before submission.

    • Washing and Drying: We use a standard 30°C wash and medium-heat drying; personal requirements may not always be accommodated.

    • Colour Separation: We separate lights and darks but are not liable for any colour transfer.

    • Minimum Weight: Orders below 6kg will be charged at the standard Wash, Tumble Dry & Fold rate.

    • Damage: We do not inspect care labels for each item in wash-and-fold loads.

    • Tagging: Items are tagged by load, not individually.

9. If There is a Problem with the Services

  1. If you encounter an issue, contact our Customer Service within 24 hours of delivery. We will address complaints as soon as possible.

  2. You have statutory rights for Services not carried out with reasonable skill and care, which remain unaffected by these Terms.

10. Price and Payment

  1. Prices are listed on our website and may vary. Changes will not apply to Orders we have already accepted.

  2. Service fees may apply and will be visible at checkout.

  3. VAT and other taxes will be applied as required by law.

  4. Payment is processed once your Order reaches our facility. If additional charges apply, you will be notified.

11. Our Liability to You

  1. In the event of loss or damage, compensation will follow the Textile Services Association (TSA) guidelines, considering wear and tear. We may request proof of purchase.

  2. Liability per Item is capped at £50.00, given proof of purchase.

  3. You must report lost or damaged items within 48 hours of delivery.

  4. We are not responsible for any damage or loss related to certain items or circumstances as outlined, such as extraneous objects left in garments, existing damage, or items without proper labels.

12. Events Outside Our Control

  1. We are not liable for delays caused by Events Outside Our Control, such as strikes, weather events, or other disruptions.

  2. If an Event Outside Our Control affects your Order, we will notify you, and obligations may be temporarily suspended or canceled if necessary.

14. Use of Personal Information

  1. We will use your information to provide Services, process payments, and inform you of similar products unless you opt-out.

15. The Laundry Lad Quality Guarantee

  1. We inspect each garment before return. If unsatisfied, contact us within 24 hours of delivery to request a complimentary re-clean.

  2. To initiate a re-clean, email Customer Service with a description and relevant photos.

16. Re-cleaning Policy

  1. Re-cleaning is available only for items cleaned by Laundry Lad with the original dry-cleaning ticket attached.

  2. Stain removal is not guaranteed; we cannot offer complimentary re-cleans if stains remain.

17. Vouchers and Promotions

  1. Vouchers are subject to expiration and cannot be combined with other offers.

  2. Only one voucher may be used per transaction.

  3. Vouchers have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be resold.

18. Other Important Terms

  1. We may transfer rights and obligations to another organization, but this will not affect your rights.

  2. This contract is solely between you and Laundry Lad.

  3. Each paragraph operates independently; if any are deemed unlawful, others remain in effect.

  4. These Terms are governed by English law.

19. Prepaid Items

  1. Prepaid items are available at discounted rates and have specific terms, including minimum order values and expiration.
